Description

• Coordinate with senior leaders to assure policy, procedures, and decisions support the organization's long-term goals.
• Monitor performance at appropriate intervals throughout the year and provides necessary mentoring and counseling.
• Provide overall vision and leadership to ensure that the Branch is properly organized, trained, equipped, and supervised to achieve optimum mission effectiveness.
• Prepare, justify, manage, and execute budgets utilizing sound business, technical, and financial management principles and practices to ensure resources are applied to maximum effectiveness.
• Direct all technical work performed in the Branch by assigned in-house staff, contractors, or other agencies, encompassing the architect-engineering (A-E) contract administration, and other contracting and technical engineering functions.
• Participate and advise on various contract disputes, such as construction claims, requests for equitable adjustments, CPARs disputes, and may represent the organization in hearings on A-E liability cases.
• Represent the division at conferences and industry days to present briefings on upcoming work and scopes of future contracts.

Requirements

• A trial or probationary period may be required.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
• All positions require the applicant to be a ci ti zen of the United States.
• This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position is eligible for situational telework.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, are required to register for Selec ti ve Service prior to appointment.
• Professional Engineer: The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain license/registration as a Professional Engineer. This license/registration must be in good standing and issued by any one of the 50 states or its territories
