The Local Service Lead will shape the future of water resources engineering in Westwood’s expanding Texas markets, leading and growing the local practice while fostering excellence, innovation, and efficiency in a collaborative environment.

• Implement strategic plans and service initiatives aligned with Westwood’s vision and market goals.
• Mentor and develop service staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Lead adoption of innovative solutions and set new standards in water resources engineering.
• Collaborate with Division Service Leads, Regional Service Leaders, and market leaders to advance business strategies and increase market share.
• Partner with leadership to create and execute comprehensive short‑ and long‑term growth plans.
• Lead service‑specific proposal efforts, providing technical expertise and driving project innovation.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate insights to improve service offerings and delivery methods.
• Uphold high standards for design, reports, and overall work product quality and consistency.
• Provide project management, team building, and technical leadership.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies and build client relationships.
• Travel as needed to project sites and Westwood offices nationwide.

Requirements

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is searching for a Local Service/Project Manager Lead in Austin, Texas, to drive and grow its water resources engineering practice. The role involves strategic planning, team development, innovation, and collaboration to enhance market presence and technical excellence. Candidates need 8+ years of progressive experience, at least 6 years in water resources, and a Texas Professional Civil Engineer license (or eligibility within 6 months).

• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and deep knowledge of water resources consulting.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in operations, business development, and technical project management within water resources or related sectors.
• Possess 8+ years of progressive experience in design, management, and business development.
• Have 6+ years of water resources engineering experience, with specific experience in Austin, TX.
• Hold a Texas Professional Civil Engineer license or obtain it within 6 months.
