It also includes overseeing the consumables purchasing team to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of materials.
Key responsibilities include creating category and sourcing strategies, engaging internal stakeholders, assessing spend and market opportunities, and adapting plans to changing business and economic conditions. The manager will conduct supplier business reviews, monitor quality and delivery performance, and leverage relationships for expedites. Financial duties involve managing category results, pricing strategies, and leading monthly and annual financial reviews.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or a related field and at least six years of experience managing indirect material and service categories. Candidates must demonstrate strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and business acumen, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. Leadership experience, the ability to influence without authority, and a willingness to travel up to 30% are also essential.
Base pay ranges from $102,000 to $153,000, with higher rates for select locations.
