Responsibilities include close collaboration with Quality, Supply Chain, Projects and other engineering groups to specify and apply high‑quality coatings, selecting appropriate systems based on cost, quality and performance, and managing supplier capabilities. The engineer will develop quality‑control processes, conduct site inspections, provide technical troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis, maintain accurate documentation, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and at least eight years of experience in coating evaluation, manufacturer audits and pipeline design codes such as CSA Z662, AMPP and ASME B31. Preferred qualifications include asset life‑cycle management, inspection and audit experience, and expertise in change‑management and root‑cause analysis.
Candidates must hold a valid driver’s licence, be willing to travel up to 15 % of the time to North American sites and supplier locations, and be able to work in a hybrid office environment with flexible dress code.
