Experience with CI/CD pipelines (we use Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes)
Swift or other mobile development experience
Skilled at finding and fixing complex production bugs using logs, and cross-service debugging
Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies
Ruby on Rails
Have made contributions to a chat app, or other messaging app
Matrix - SCIM protocol for identity management
Docker/Kubernetes containerization and orchestration**
Experience incorporating automation and integration testing
Experience with real-time systems
4+ years backend development experience (Python preferred)**
Comfortable getting hands-on with infrastructure troubleshooting and fixes
Technical knowledge of how push notifications work
Solid communication, collaboration and mentoring skills to work with a range of colleagues from product specialists and end-users, to UX designers and other developers
Proven track record of delivering quality work on time
Open Source experience
Testing frameworks: pytest, RSpec, Cypress
