The Maintenance Technician for multifamily properties is responsible for delivering high-quality move-ins and ensuring resident satisfaction through prompt, personalized service. This role supports residents by addressing service requests quickly and maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Key duties include preparing vacant units for new occupants—painting, carpet repair, cleaning, and minor repairs—as well as performing routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and snow removal when needed. The technician also maintains common-area amenities such as grounds, pools, hot tubs, and dog parks, and participates in on-call rotations for after-hour emergencies.
The position requires knowledge of state, local, and federal fair-housing regulations, adherence to safety procedures, and completion of required training programs. Competencies include a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II certification, ability to interpret technical documents, perform basic calculations, and produce routine reports.
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, trade/technical training, and one year of related maintenance experience. The role operates in a professional office setting, uses standard office equipment, and involves travel between properties in varying weather conditions, with physical demands such as standing, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Compensation ranges from $22.17 to $26.08 per hour, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off.
