The Test facility is responsible for running new-make Heavy Duty Gas Turbines produced in Greenville, SC. This includes installation in dedicated test cells, monitoring of the process systems during operation, and verifying overall unit performance and quality to stringent standards.
Accurately utilize various types of precision measuring and test equipment associated with the evaluation of function and repair to heavy-duty gas turbines and facility equipment.
Perform and/or assist in laser alignment of high-speed shafts.
Demonstrate ownership and participate with the teams in Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Lean efforts.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Identify, report and correct defects and malfunctions on heavy-duty gas turbines and facility equipment.
Safely and effectively utilize various hand tools, shop equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
Conduct gas turbine test operations as scheduled, and assure test planning, test methods, quality procedures and safety procedures are followed.
Operate various material-moving equipment (e.g., forklifts, straddle-hoist and jib/gantry cranes).
Provide technical instruction and work to contract support staff.
Perform gage calibration on instruments.
Perform simple to complex troubleshooting and repair on a variety of heavy-duty gas turbine equipment and balance of plant equipment, both electrical and mechanical systems.

Internal applicants must meet time on current job requirements, no active disciplinary action (within last 12 months) and must have “Meets Expectations” or better rating on latest appraisal.
Successfully pass an Accredited Community College Entrance Exam.
Applicants must hold an Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Computer Technology, IT Systems or similar Degree or be currently enrolled in a local community college pursuing the degree.
