As a Transmission Lineworker you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and constructing transmission line assets across our network. You will provide the technical expertise needed to ensure our critical infrastructure meets customer expectations and reliability standards, whether responding to emergencies, managing scheduled maintenance or delivering major construction projects.
You will install, maintain and repair transmission line assets, carry out inspections and identify any condition concerns. You will prepare safe work methods and safety documentation, mentor apprentices and junior technicians, and step into a crew‑leader role when needed. You will work closely with Field Coordinators and Site Managers to ensure safe, efficient and well‑coordinated delivery of all work.
Essential qualifications include a Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Transmission and/or Distribution) and a current Australian driver’s licence, plus an understanding of inspection, maintenance and construction requirements for transmission line infrastructure. Desirable assets are high‑risk work licences such as DG, RB, RI, RA, CV, C2, C6, WP and LF, as well as a Heavy Rigid licence and experience in high‑voltage maintenance tasks like pole replacement and insulator change‑outs.
