Southern Star is seeking highly motivated and energetic students or recent graduates to join as summer HR interns. The role offers an opportunity to explore human resources, talent acquisition, and organizational development, with mentorship, orientation, training, and valuable work assignments. The Human Resources team is a dynamic group focused on making Southern Star a great place to work.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be junior or senior students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field. Applicants should plan a career in HR, be able to maintain confidentiality, possess strong oral and written communication, exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and demonstrate a cooperative, team‑oriented attitude.
Interns will gain meaningful, real‑world experience across core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, workforce planning, compliance, employee relations, total rewards, employee wellbeing, and organizational communication. Working with a highly qualified professional team will help build confidence and marketable skills.
