MEP engineering, performance contracting, and zero‑energy/zero‑carbon building design firm.
This role provides hands‑on training in mechanical, HVAC, and energy design. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, can work both independently and as part of a team, and will learn how CMTA designs and implements mechanical systems and energy‑efficient measures on complex MEP projects.
CMTA offers a robust co‑op program for college students pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering degrees. Co‑ops work onsite for one or more semesters, gaining hands‑on experience in consulting engineering while being trained by professional engineers in AutoCAD and Revit. Participants create real construction drawings for actual CMTA projects and develop industry‑competitive skills.
The co‑op position is full‑time (40 hours per week), onsite, with a competitive hourly rate and eligibility for overtime. It begins in May 2026 and runs through the summer, with dates flexible to align with academic calendars. The company hopes to rotate successful co‑ops through multiple terms and may consider full‑time employment after graduation.
Benefits include paid sick leave and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Reasonable accommodations are available for applicants who need assistance during the application or interview process.
Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic market considerations, ensuring fair and competitive pay in compliance with salary transparency laws.
