In this role, the Managing Escrow Officer is responsible for directing division operations and employees to deliver escrow and related services cost-effectively while maintaining profitability. The officer enforces performance and operating goals, monitors branch and associate performance, and acts as a liaison between mortgage lenders, builders, and customers to ensure compliance, policy adherence, production targets, and timelines are met.
Key operational duties include gathering and reviewing business information such as reporting, market forecasting, and personal data; consulting senior leadership for strategic insights; and managing pre-approved vendors to monitor compliance, cost-effectiveness, quality, and timeliness. The officer also improves processes, tracks division expenses, and may handle office-management responsibilities in smaller locations.
Leadership responsibilities involve supervising escrow personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies, and conducting regular quality reviews of escrow files. The officer resolves customer complaints, expedites orders, and provides clear explanations of procedures and pricing. Strong problem-solving, communication, and computer skills enable the officer to lead complex projects, influence stakeholders, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Candidates must have extensive experience in residential and commercial title and escrow, excellent supervisory abilities, and professional communication skills. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 2-4 years of supervisory or management experience; a notary public credential or active title license is strongly preferred.
