Description

The Maintenance Mechanic provides the skill sets needed to maintain and repair physical assets in an industrial manufacturing environment. Reporting to Facility and Operations Managers, the role oversees HVAC, mechanical systems and building automation, ensuring safety compliance and optimal performance.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial HVAC, manufacturing equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and fix pumps, motors, hydraulics, bulk fluid systems, and oil mist collectors.
• Operate and maintain tank farm systems, reporting issues and completing repairs.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs and close work orders within 24 hours.
• Support building automation, power (normal, emergency, UPS), utility piping, compressed air, backflow preventers, and calibrate gas/water meters.
• Ensure safety training compliance, conduct safety PMs and use pre‑task planning.
• Maintain forklift and aerial lift licenses and manage spare‑parts inventory.

Requirements

The position requires at least five years of facility maintenance experience, with a journeyman certification preferred in HVAC, electrical, machine repair or mechanical trades. Candidates must have strong knowledge of HVAC/R, pumps, motors, hydraulics, power systems and building automation, as well as solid Microsoft Office skills and detail‑oriented communication.

Preferred qualifications include experience with controller programs (Allen‑Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens), MAXIMO maintenance management, advanced certifications, and background in backup generators, tank farm operations and environmental compliance. The role demands physical capability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely and flexibility for emergency response.

• Minimum 5 years facility maintenance experience; journeyman certification preferred in HVAC, electrical, machine repair or mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, mechanical systems, building automation, pumps, motors, hydraulics and power systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and effective communication.
• Preferred: experience with Allen‑Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens controllers; MAXIMO or similar CMMS; advanced HVAC/electrical/mechanical certifications.
• Preferred: background with backup generators, emergency power, tank farm operations, and environmental compliance reporting.
• Physical ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely; flexibility for emergency response.
