This entry-level position supports machine operators in processing materials and ensuring smooth production flow. The role assists with material handling, packaging, quality checks, and general production tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Assist operators at the coil loading and packaging ends of the production line as needed.
- Build pallets and shipping containers using hand and power tools.
- Band and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, applying tags and labels to finished products.
- Perform quality checks to verify product dimensions, weights, and specifications using appropriate tools.
- Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials.
- Move or carry parts, equipment, or materials as required.
- Wrap and unwrap materials for processing or shipping.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely (training and certification provided).
- Meet production goals while complying with all safety requirements.

The role requires the ability to safely operate a forklift, read and follow production orders, and possess basic math, reading, and writing skills. Strong communication, organization, and time‑management abilities are essential, along with a willingness to learn and assist in various production tasks.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. No prior manufacturing experience is required, though a mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Work is performed in a production facility with fluctuating temperatures and elevated noise levels, Monday through Friday on the second shift, with flexibility for overtime and weekends as needed. Personal protective equipment such as steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, cut‑resistant gloves, arm guards, and hearing protection is required.
