Generate revenue growth through effective marketing of the Ames line of automatic taping tools, parts, and equipment, including promotion of add-on sales
Provide basic demonstrations and effective presentations of Ames tools and products
Establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization
Collaborate with Field Specialist personnel to identify training lead prospects for enhanced revenue generation
Submit quality tags, expense reports, and prototype tool testing questionnaires in a timely manner
Maintain positive business relationships with existing Ames customers and cultivate new business opportunities with Interior Finishing Contractors in the assigned selling area
Perform additional functions such as boxing and shipping tools to the repair center and receiving tool and merchandise shipments into inventory
Complete competitive shops as necessary
Perform daily functions including greeting customers, processing rental and sales transactions, customer service, order processing, merchandising, inventory and tool audits, collections, housekeeping, database development, cash handling, bank deposits, and loss prevention
Execute Ames sales and marketing programs
Assist with planning and execution of open house customer events
Responsible for assisting in the overall operation of an Ames company retail store
Assist with maintaining organized files, bank deposit receipts, and accurate record keeping
Open and close the store when the Store Manager is absent
Assist with store coverage at other locations in the region as necessary
Perform collection duties as assigned
Report inventory discrepancies or customer issues to the Store Manager
Maintain rental tools and contractor equipment
Merchandise products and organize the showroom and rear warehouse for safe and effective material handling

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs
Experienced store operations associate with strong customer service skills, tool product knowledge, inventory control experience, problem-solving abilities, and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team, including leading, executing, and/or delegating as needed
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
Two to four years of related experience
Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license required; forklift certification required in some stores after hire
Regular use of hands for handling, fingering, talking, and hearing
