The company is hiring experienced Leadmen and Foremen to direct one to three crews on assigned job sites. Responsibilities include assigning daily tasks, setting priorities, monitoring progress, training crew members on proper techniques, equipment use, and safety, and ensuring productivity meets project goals.
Leaders must interpret plans, specifications, and layouts provided by the Superintendent, perform site layout and marking, coordinate material deliveries, and oversee equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and compactors to ensure work follows design specifications and stays within budgeted hours.
Quality control duties involve daily inspections of crew work, identifying deficiencies, implementing corrective actions, maintaining high workmanship standards in planting, grading, irrigation, and hardscape installation, and documenting progress for the Superintendent.
Safety responsibilities include enforcing company safety policies and OSHA regulations, conducting daily equipment and vehicle checks, leading toolbox talks and safety meetings, and assisting in accident or near‑miss investigations.
The role serves as the primary point of contact between crews and the Superintendent, providing daily updates, coordinating with other trades to ensure site readiness, and responding promptly to Superintendent or client requests.
Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent (trade school or construction coursework preferred), at least five years of commercial landscape construction experience with one year in a leadership role, strong knowledge of construction practices, irrigation, grading, and plant materials, the ability to read construction documents, basic construction math skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate construction equipment.
