The purpose of the job is to follow quality processes that ensure products and projects meet required standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The incumbent will support the development and implementation of quality control procedures, assist with inspections and audits, analyse data for improvement opportunities, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Key responsibilities include ensuring drawing conformity, managing inspection compliance, driving continuous improvement, guaranteeing that only approved materials are used, and documenting non‑conformities with corrective actions. The role also requires maintaining up‑to‑date technical skills, delivering planned activities on schedule, solving operational problems, enforcing quality control specifications, coordinating written policies, adhering to compliance guidelines, and upholding health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ensure dimensions and embedments follow drawings; communicate with designers to resolve conflicts.
- Follow issued RFIs, provide comments, monitor rectifications, and represent the department in joint inspections with consultants and clients.
- Enhance processes for efficiency, conduct root cause analysis for all NCRs, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Verify that only approved materials are utilized, clarify project arrangements, and raise quality concerns proactively to avoid repetition.
- Report non‑conformities and observations, include required RCA, and follow corrective actions for implementation.
- Maintain and update soft and technical skills; develop a career path plan.
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets, utilizing resources efficiently and reporting deviations.
- Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
- Develop and enforce effective quality control processes, specifications, and related activity standards.
- Coordinate written systems, policies, and procedures; seek automation opportunities where possible.
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental management procedures to guarantee safety and legislative adherence.
