The Director of Facilities Services provides strategic leadership for TC Energy’s corporate real estate and facilities portfolio across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This role oversees both leased and company‑owned properties, drives enterprise facilities strategy, and manages an annual budget of approximately $35 million.
Key responsibilities include leading lease negotiations, renewals, and procurement; overseeing lease administration and ensuring commercial rigor, risk mitigation, and cost optimization; directing real‑estate acquisitions and divestitures; and managing major vendor and landlord contracts. The director also provides enterprise‑level facilities leadership, governs third‑party service providers, translates corporate and workforce strategy into long‑term workplace plans, drives workspace planning and office project execution, and ensures compliance with regulatory, building‑code, and occupational health‑and‑safety standards.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or a related field (MBA preferred) and possess at least 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, facilities management, or corporate services. Required expertise includes tenant representation, property transactions, large‑budget oversight, multi‑region operations, lease negotiation, contract and vendor management, compliance, safety, risk management, and strong leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
TC Energy offers a hybrid work model, flexible dress code, and an inclusive culture that values diversity and accommodates all applicants throughout the recruitment process.
