Communicate project status, findings, and issues effectively.
Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
Plan, organize, and manage CMT and Special Inspection projects from inception to completion.
Provide technical guidance to inspection and testing staff.
Responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects.
The Project Manager will lead a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinate with clients and contractors, and prepare detailed reports on findings and project status.
Assist Business Development staff with cost estimating during the proposal phase.
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of inspectors, technicians, and support staff.
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure accurate project billing and cost control.
Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and supporting documentation.
Monitor budgets and financial performance of assigned projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to reinforce safety and quality standards.
Implements Atlas' Think 12 safety philosophy and follows our Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure project records are accurate, complete, and properly archived.
Evaluate performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain up-to-date schedules, budgets, and correspondence.
Analyze test results and inspection findings, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance.
Conduct audits and field visits to verify compliance and quality.
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and codes.
Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with at least 2 years in a Project Management role.
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Experienced Special Inspection Project Manager.
Work independently with limited supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders.
Strong leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in project management and LIMS software.
Professional Engineer License (NY or NJ) or ability to obtain license or reciprocity within 6 months highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as NICET, ICC Special Inspector, or similar credentials.
Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and Special Inspection methods.
Minimum of 2 years of Pubic Agency Project Management experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with MTA, NYCHA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, or NJDOT is highly desirable.
Good written & verbal communication skills
Project Financial Management - Relevant experience with budgeting, preparing change orders, preparing invoices and collections.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
