Experience with ITS Planning and Design, Signal timing and design studies, signal operations, signing and pavement marking, maintenance of traffic (MOT), Lighting related projects.
Familiarity with local, state and national traffic engineering standards and practices.
Experience with softwares like TruTraffic and Microstation.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and can effectively interact and build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other key stakeholders.
5+ years’ experience within the field of traffic engineering.
Prior experience delivering traffic engineering and design projects for VDOT preferred.
Proficient in production and traffic software experience including HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, and VISSIM.
Safety Studies and Crash Predictive Analysis
Capacity and Microsimulation Analysis
Signing and Pavement Markings
Extensive traffic forecasting, traffic operations analysis, and safety evaluation experience.
Accredited Bachelor or Master's of Engineering degree or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline.
Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering.
