Serve as a technical lead for the design of waterfront projects, including preparing construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
Take a lead role securing new work for a growing component of our business, including proposal preparation, client development, and networking
Manage a variety of waterfront / coastal projects with varying levels of complexity and size
Mentor, coach and develop junior staff
Provide technical direction and training to staff, as necessary to complete assignments
Manage on-site field staff during the implementation phase of projects and act as the primary point of contact in discussions with clients and contractors

Ability to manage small to medium projects in all phases of engineering design including field investigations (to include structural assessments of existing conditions), preliminary designs, regulatory approvals, final design, and development of contract documents.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
B.S or M.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience with regulatory/environmental permitting associated with waterfront infrastructure projects.
Ability to travel for site visits / inspections, client meetings, and business development opportunities (to include overnight travel, as needed).
Experience with establishment of flood design elevation, wave analysis, and wave loadings on coastal structures is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong structural design experience with steel and concrete, as well as a working knowledge of geotechnical engineering to assist in the design of soil / structure interaction elements (e.g. bulkheads, retaining walls, and piles).
Knowledge of hydraulic modelling for stormwater collection systems and coastal outfall structure design is a plus.
Experience with the laws and regulations governing public procurement process.
Registered professional engineer.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team setting to integrate in-house structural, geotechnical, and environmental capabilities to create interconnected design instruments.
8-10 years of experience working on waterfront design projects with structural aspects. Prior experience in marine, bridge, or heavy civil engineering design is preferred.
Completed NCEES national record with ability to obtain reciprocity in other New England states, as needed.
