  • Interact with clients and citizens in a responsible manner while always working safely without presenting a threat to self or others in compliance with Stantec regulations.
  • Prioritize customer service, integrity, and a commitment to safety.
  • Driving to field sites as instructed by trainers.
  • Assist trainer during inspections with project site documents including plans and truss calculations.
  • Take written notes during inspections and communicate with trainers regarding code enforcement.

  • Associate’s degree or technical school diploma/certificate in a related program
  • Desired candidates will need to commit to a fulltime training program for a minimum of six months.
  • Successful completion of International Code Council Residential Building Code certification within 6 months of program starts.
  • Basic construction knowledge is preferred.
  • Field inspection requires city driving, bending, twisting, walking on uneven surfaces, exposure to the elements including inclement weather, and wearing/maintaining PPE (personal professional equipment).
  • Driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required.
  • Combination of education and experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office at a proficient level.
  • Successful completion of an additional International Code Council certification within first year.
