The Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory, and increasing penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.
The role involves building long‑term loyalty, mastering the company's service offerings and pricing, handling contract renewals, responding to cancellations, supporting pricing initiatives, daily use of Salesforce to document activities, capturing emails, minimizing rate restrictions, and collaborating with sales managers and operations to resolve issues and enhance visibility through community events.
Preferred qualification includes waste or transportation industry experience; minimum requirements are at least one year of relevant sales experience and a valid driver’s license.
