In this position you will drive bid strategy, capture management, proposal development, team leadership, governance, compliance and post‑submission actions. You will secure inputs from technical subject‑matter experts, bid administration and writers to produce best‑in‑class submissions, applying tools such as generative AI and continuously improving delivery processes. Collaboration with the Growth Office will ensure new training and guidance are integrated.
We are looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to lead and coordinate strategic bids from capture through proposal development to post‑submission activities. The role requires championing persuasive, compliant, easy‑to‑read proposals and upskilling business‑unit win‑work teams and technical practices.
The ideal candidate holds a degree or equivalent qualification and has proven end‑to‑end bid and proposal management experience in engineering, construction or professional services. You should have a strong track record delivering high‑value proposals, excellent project and editorial skills, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear content. Experience with generative AI tools, meticulous attention to detail, collaborative leadership and high emotional intelligence are also essential.
The role may require security clearance, with the vetting process managed by UKSV and residency proof if needed.
