Biosolids Compliance Technician

Description

In this role you will support the processing and delivery of compliant biosolids to agricultural customers, working closely with the Biosolids Sales and Marketing team and providing timely data reports to regulators and stakeholders.

• Process customer orders while adhering to procedures to uphold the Satisfactory Sludge Disposal Environmental Performance Assessment.
• Enter and analyse data in compliance systems, including Farmer Nutrient Reports and soil results.
• Generate farmer notifications, feedback reports, and overall compliance documentation.
• Advise the sales team, interpret data, and make compliance‑based decisions.
• Create, amend, and cancel permits for biosolids delivery and spreading.
• Analyse soil and cake analysis results and verify trial application data.
• Produce benefit statements containing compliance information for each field or stockpile.
• Review external data sources to determine relevant deployment information.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted to the Environment Agency.
• Coordinate with laboratory teams to address soil sampling delays.

Requirements

Biosolids Compliance Technician – £26,000 (dependent on skills and experience), full‑time (37 hours) with part‑time flexibility, based in Lincoln – Canwick Water Recycling Centre, travel to other regional offices required. Two roles are available: one permanent and one 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
