Management Accountant

Description

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Prepare and present periodic reporting for project companies and development loans and assist with managing relationships with key financial stakeholders
• Support equity and debt financing initiatives, including financial due diligence responses
• Collaborate with department heads to understand financial performance and improve cost control
• Drive initiatives that support revenue generation and optimise pricing strategies across services, products, and assets
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required
• Support year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes, and ensure adherence to financial covenants
• Accountability for ensuring seamless and error free execution of financing transactions
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to support decision-making

Requirements

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Management Accountant to join our finance team and help drive financial performance across the business.

• Strong commercial acumen with exceptional analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Minimum 2 years of quality experience in accounting, preferably in engineering firms within the UK.
• Or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or ICAEW is essential. A STEM degree combined with an accountant qualification is highly advantageous.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM subject in a UK university
• Must be eligible to work in the UK permanently (VISA sponsorship unavailable)
