Cost Manager

Description

As Cost Manager, you will play a key role in managing and controlling project costs across all phases of the data centre development. You will work closely with the project team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure budgets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

• Manage contractor payment applications, variations, and commercial claims
• Support contract negotiations and procurement strategies
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure cost efficiency
• Produce regular cost reports for stakeholders and senior management
• Prepare, review, and manage project budgets and forecasts
• Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenditure
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential overruns and risks

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join a leading Data Centre Developer on a high-profile project in London.

• Proven experience as a Cost Manager in construction, preferably data centres or large-scale commercial projects
• Excellent understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and commercial management
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting tools
