Senior OCS Engineer

Description

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
• Lead the design and engineering of OCS systems for LRT projects, including alignment with civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian standards, including AREMA, CSA, and applicable provincial regulations.
• Support construction and commissioning phases, including field inspections and resolving technical issues.
• Participate in tender evaluations, contractor coordination, and change management processes.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for OCS components (e.g., poles, cantilevers, tensioning systems, feeders).
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk evaluations related to OCS installations.

Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in railway electrification, with a focus on OCS design and implementation.
• Proficiency in OCS design software.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong understanding of railway safety standards, construction practices, and project delivery methodologies.
• P.Eng. designation in a Canadian province (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience working on major transit infrastructure projects in Canada is highly desirable.
