The Project Engineer provides technical engineering information to the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure that construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications. This role acts as a liaison between field activities and engineering design, supporting accurate project execution.
The Project Engineer reports directly to the Project Manager and is accountable for delivering timely engineering support and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include interpreting and resolving blueprint discrepancies, preparing change requisitions, "as‑built" drawings, and essential project documents such as status reports, punch lists, and purchase orders. The engineer also supervises field layout and surveying, maintains engineering records, ensures concrete inspections comply with procedures, and performs additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager.
Required education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with equivalent technical training considered acceptable. While no mandatory experience is listed, three years of construction experience is preferred. The position demands advanced computer skills, a working knowledge of construction equipment, drawing interpretation, material standards, and strong mathematical and communication abilities.
