The role involves collaborating with senior consultants and client staff to conduct business process and work method assessments, gather project data, and perform analyses that inform comprehensive reports. Candidates will analyze extensive utility datasets, including GIS, CMMS, condition inspection databases, and hydraulic modeling outputs. They will also increase team productivity by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements, providing on‑site or off‑site support for activities such as planning, scheduling, condition and capacity assessments, and contractor management. Additionally, the position includes developing and reviewing technical reports, presentations, and designing analytics and dashboard platforms.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and team management skills, with expertise in data processing, cleaning, and analytics. Proficiency in database design, development, and management for SQL Server or Oracle is required, as is experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. A B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management and at least three years of consulting experience in environmental engineering or with a medium/large municipal utility are essential. Understanding of water and wastewater process equipment, distribution, and collection system assets is also necessary.
