In this role you will operate and maintain gas collection systems cost‑effectively, perform routine well‑field balancing, blower/flare operations, condensate management, and surface emissions monitoring. You will follow SCS policies, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan, Quality Management System, and Standards of Business Conduct, while planning daily crew activities, conducting moderate‑level maintenance and repairs, and documenting field observations in logs and client communications.
You will use field instruments for data measurement, calibrate equipment, perform environmental sampling with canisters and Tedlar bags, prepare chain‑of‑custody documents, review preliminary data with supervision, and adjust system components accordingly. You will also assist laborers and senior technicians, provide limited direction to vendors, and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
As a Field Technician II at SCS Engineers, you will have a working knowledge of the terminology, processes, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of various environmental control systems. You will report to a senior‑level supervisor such as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager and will service the Denver, CO area.
Qualifications include at least one year of environmental control system OM&M experience, proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and Microsoft Office, a valid driver’s license in good standing, and the ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lb, operating hand and power tools, and working in varied weather conditions.
