The position involves registering, or planning to register, as an Engineer‑In‑Training with EGBC, honing engineering skills, and delivering workable infrastructure designs. You will act as the client’s on‑site representative during construction, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using leading technologies, and develop sustainable solutions. Additional duties include preparing technical reports, performing calculations for water‑related projects, and supporting project management, budgeting, and tender preparation.
This opportunity is ideal for recent civil or environmental engineering graduates with up to three years of experience and eligibility for EGBC EIT registration. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, a collaborative mindset, self‑starting attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada are also required.
Our growing Kamloops office is seeking a capable Engineer‑In‑Training to join the local engineering team. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of civil engineering projects, with work that varies across practice areas, client needs, and project types. As an EIT you will benefit from mentorship by industry professionals while contributing to projects that visibly improve communities.
Team members receive a competitive salary of $75,000‑$85,000 per year, extended health, dental and vision benefits, and three weeks of paid vacation plus statutory holidays. We support professional growth through coaching, in‑house learning and technical courses, and offer flexible work hours, a long‑term RRSP/TFSA matching program, and parental‑leave top‑up. Our inclusive environment encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and meaningful community impact.
