Review design documents to confirm commissioning requirements are incorporated.
Serve as the District’s representative for commissioning-related issues and conflict resolution.
Facilitate commissioning meetings during design and construction phases.
Oversee pre-functional and functional performance testing of systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).
Ensure proper documentation and warranties are provided at project closeout.
Ensure compliance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), Florida Building Code, and Broward Schools standards.
Organize and oversee training sessions for District staff on building systems.
Verify installation and operation of equipment per specifications and contract documents.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure commissioning milestones are met.
Prepare and maintain commissioning records, checklists, and reports.
Develop and maintain the Commissioning Plan, schedule, and procedures for all assigned projects.
Ensure delivery of final Commissioning Report and Systems Manual to the District.

Minimum 7 years of experience in construction commissioning or building systems management; experience in educational facilities preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or related field.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
LEED Accreditation is a plus.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent is preferred.
Proficiency in commissioning software and reporting tools.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Knowledge of Florida Building Code, SREF, and ASHRAE commissioning guidelines.
