MCC focuses on the operation and maintenance of landfill gas systems that reduce methane emissions and provide a green energy source for clients’ end‑users.
As a field technician, you will deliver operations and maintenance services for landfill gas collection systems to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance. This includes routine on‑site monitoring, troubleshooting, independent daily work, communication with supervisors and clients, and thorough documentation of activities and corrective actions.
You must follow all company and project safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment, maintain cleanliness of the company truck and work areas, and be prepared for after‑hours call‑outs.
General qualifications include a high school diploma (associate’s degree preferred), proficiency with Windows Office, ability to maintain logs and take readings, strong mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, ATV operation, professional communication, problem‑solving, self‑initiative, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to pass drug, background and motor‑vehicle checks.
Preferred qualifications are prior landfill gas system experience or education, knowledge of environmental sampling, current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification, pipe‑fusion certificate, and knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings, plus electrical, chemical and mechanical experience.
Physical requirements include working 100 % outdoors in all weather, walking long distances on varied terrain, occasional climbing or crawling, lifting up to 50 lb, using PPE daily, and traveling overnight up to 30 % of the time.
