Description

The C&I Quality Assurance and Control Manager is a senior leadership position focused on promoting a quality mindset across projects. The role directs and plans quality control activities, ensuring field leadership follows and documents QA/QC processes. It requires expert‑level electrical knowledge and deep experience with commissioning, start‑up, and Method of Procedure (MOP) processes. The manager interacts regularly with company leadership, project managers, superintendents, customers, owners, and vendors, and participates in customer interviews, kick‑off meetings, shutdowns, startups, and mission‑critical commissioning.

• Lead QA/QC functions and set quality standards.
• Develop, review, and improve quality control processes.
• Create training requirements and materials for field leadership.
• Administer QA/QC training for foremen and superintendents.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
• Meet with customers to discuss prospective work and communicate clearly.
• Review complex shutdown plans and MOPs; coach employees on execution.
• Travel to job sites regularly to conduct QA/QC audits.
• Provide ongoing guidance to field leadership.
• Perform constructability and sequence‑of‑operation reviews.
• Write and maintain QA/QC processes and procedures.
• Lead QA/QC meetings with customers.
• Draft complex Method of Operations Procedures (MOPs).
• Lead, direct, audit, and mentor assigned staff.
• Communicate company policy expectations to staff.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct, ethics, and industry standards.
• Leadership of teams of 10+ employees.

Requirements

• Prior experience as lead commissioning authority or QA manager in mission‑critical environments.
• Proven success in mission‑critical start‑up and commissioning projects.
• Minimum 5 years C&I electrical leadership experience.
• Minimum 10 years electrical field experience as a journeyman (wireman license).
• High school diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor's degree beneficial.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, local codes, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction/engineering drawings and specifications.
• Skill in identifying potential issues during the planning phase.
• Understanding of Functional Performance Testing, Implementation Systems Testing, UAT, BAS, and EPMS.
• Experience with LOTO management, supervision, and monitoring.
• Subcontractor management experience.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, computer, and organizational skills.
