Transportation Engineer

Description

• Perform field investigations and construction phase services support.
• Provide guidance to influence, mentor and train team members with positive growthoriented perspective.
• Develop and oversee design plans and calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Interact with and present project designs to clients, agencies, and the public.
• Design roadways in accordance with AASHTO and NHDOT specifications and CADD Standards using AutoCAD Civil 3D Microstation and InRoads/OpenRoads.
• Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, and concept design reports.
• Collaborate with team members, other disciplines and offices, and subconsultants.

Requirements

• Excellent timemanagement skills.
• Ability to lead or assist leading a team through all phases of project document production.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in inoffice and virtual environments.
• NH PE or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Thorough understanding of project tasks within the overall project schedule, budgeting and available resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AASHTO and NHDOT design standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation and InRoads. OpenRoads experience is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, punctual, and organized.
• Comprehensive approach to challenges and problemsolving.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in design with project management experience a plus. More experienced individuals are encouraged to apply as the responsibilities of the position are flexible based on experience level.
