  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities, ensuring we are positioned as a leader in the field.
  • Foster a culture of design innovation and collaboration, encouraging your team to explore new approaches that improve project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Contribute to training and project process improvements.
  • Implement project contracts, ensuring that all agreements are adhered to and that potential issues are resolved promptly. Especially understanding specific contract terms around fee, change control and invoicing.
  • Develop market pipeline and new opportunities with a contribution to work winning to secure approximately £1m of new work per annum through a combination of new orders, change control and crossselling other Stantec disciplines into existing projects.
  • Play a key role in business planning, including financial budgeting, forecasting, and helping to set the direction for the team’s business development efforts.
  • Lead the delivery of MEP and multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring that all aspects of design are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with quality assurance and commercial governance procedures.
  • Maintain a highlevel overview of team projects, ensuring that client expectations are met and that health and safety standards are adhered to throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Take accountability for ensuring that projects remain within budget, that fees are recovered in a timely manner, and that any financial issues are resolved quickly.
  • Grow and develop a team of MEP engineers and technicians, setting clear expectations and ensuring the successful delivery of projects across the business.
  • Engage with other disciplines to identify opportunities across the business.
  • Enable project wins through the identification of added value or efficiencies in client briefs.
  • Integrate, develop, and improve the team through regular appraisals, identifying training needs, addressing team weaknesses, and providing guidance to ensure career growth and development.
  • Address and resolve any client issues, or problems that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Working alongside the Regional Director grow and develop the Leeds MEP team’s workwinning efforts, maintaining and developing a sustainable pipeline of work through project delivery excellence, strategic client management, networking, and existing industry knowledge. We are particularly keen to hear from those with established networks in the education and healthcare sectors.
  • Contribute to the overall growth of the business through strategic planning and longterm client relationships.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of project bids, tenders, and interviews, ensuring that proposals are competitive and meet client requirements.
  • Identify and contribute to recruitment efforts to expand the team, ensuring the business is resourced to meet both current and future project demands.
  • Enhance the Stantec brand in the region.
