• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
• Direct project staff in preparing contract documents, such as drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility.
• Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Structural Practice in Washington, DC. Candidates for the Structural Engineer position should have experience in medium to large-size projects such as government buildings, sports facilities, healthcare facilities, commercial and mission critical buildings, preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer and/or SE License.
• 6+ years of experience of delivering complex technical design projects.

The rate for this position generally is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by District of Columbia Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
