The Corporate Counsel will develop and lead H2M’s legal strategy, manage legal risks, negotiate and review contracts, advise leadership on key business and operational decisions, and ensure best‑practice governance across the organization.
Key duties include providing legal guidance to leadership and the Board on governance, entity registration, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management; ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal statutes; and developing risk‑management programs, corporate policies, and business continuity plans.
Additional responsibilities cover drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, managing litigation and arbitration, supporting strategic transactions, leading an in‑house risk management team, delivering compliance training, and maintaining current knowledge of A/E industry legal developments.

The senior legal executive will guide the firm through complex legal matters, oversee risk management, support business operations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualified candidates must hold a J.D., be admitted to a US bar, and have at least ten years of business operations, contract, and risk‑management experience, preferably with both in‑house and law‑firm backgrounds. Strong expertise in contract law, corporate governance, communication, and strategic thinking is required, and the role is 100% onsite in Melville, NY with a salary range of $180,000‑$230,000.
