Key responsibilities include analyzing and preparing complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis for accurate property‑line locations. You will perform quality‑control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. The role requires assisting staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents, as well as organizing and coordinating field and office staff for complex projects. Additional duties involve developing project work plans, directing staff to meet objectives, and monitoring the work of assigned personnel, sub‑consultants, and contractors.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma/GED; an Associate degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred. At least five years of related surveying experience is required, with DOT project experience considered a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory, while MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads skills are highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, angular and linear measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry is essential. A valid driver’s license, ability to read and write English, and construction surveying or 3D‑scanning registration experience are advantageous.
