What you would be doing

  • Perform tasks in accordance with maintenance instructions and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system
  • Perform general duties while adhering to all site safety standards
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment as required
  • Diagnose and conduct corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment with minimal downtime in a maritime environment
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets all quality specifications and standards

  • Ability to liaise effectively with supporting contractors (as required)
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High Risk Work Licences (e.g., Rigging, Forklift, EWP) and Working at Heights certification are advantageous
  • Confident in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to inspect work to ensure it meets specifications
  • Experience in recording and documenting results and tolerances
  • Ability to assemble and fit mechanical parts and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and general computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
