The Commercial Director will lead a small commercial team and oversee all activities related to executive cost consultancy across pre- and post-contract projects. The role requires ensuring accuracy and consistency in all commercial outputs, ranging from high-level concept estimates to detailed pre-tender submissions. Responsibilities will include value engineering reviews, rate analysis, and the delivery of post-contract services.

  • Review and approve monthly and quarterly project reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate commercial activities.
  • Lead and manage the commercial team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company standards.
  • Attend client, site, and senior management meetings as required.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in cost estimation, procurement, and commercial management.
  • Provide oversight and support for budget preparation, review, and approvals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, procedures, and performance across the organisation.

As the primary point of contact between the client and the head office, the Commercial Director must demonstrate substantial expertise in commercial management and bring strong regional market knowledge to strengthen the existing team. The position demands the ability to work independently while managing large-scale, multi-project portfolios involving diverse stakeholders.

A key aspect of this role will be the ability to present, explain, and justify commercial deliverables clearly and persuasively to colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Prior experience with NEOM projects/procedures will be highly regarded.
  • Chartered Membership of a recognised professional body (RICS essential).
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in commercial management, preferably within major international consultancy projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or equivalent.
