The Site Engineer supports field activities and assists Project Managers and Superintendents with project planning, material tracking, pricing, and cost reporting, typically for a medium to large project. This role provides hands‑on experience in geotechnical construction and technical field services and focuses on site‑based leadership.
- Manage project schedule and supervise quality control (QC) compliance.
- Coordinate third‑party QC services, implement RECON’s three‑phase QC program, and prepare daily production logs.
- Track and inspect materials ordered and received.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate technical and managerial aspects of projects; generate monthly status reports and change orders.
- Monitor budgets and track cost trends.
- Observe site safety programs, assist the Site Safety Officer with incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend improvements.
- Perform tasks independently with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate resides on the U.S. East Coast and will spend the majority of time on project sites throughout the Eastern region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum four years of engineering or construction field experience; surveying or CAD proficiency preferred.
- Experience using GPS units for layout and grade verification.
- Demonstrated progressive financial and supervisory responsibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and multitask effectively.
