In this role you will oversee and guide projects with support from senior team members, collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal staff to deliver high‑quality work. You will transition into managing the entire project lifecycle, from scoping and budgeting to work distribution, invoicing, and project close‑out.
- Manage waste management and diversion projects from scoping through close‑out.
- Coordinate with clients, regulators, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Develop and control budgets, schedules, invoices, and deliverable documentation.
- Mentor staff, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Build and maintain client relationships, provide regular updates, and address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations through regulator collaboration.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and design documents, including landfill designs and permitting.
- Contribute to waste diversion strategies and sustainable materials management.
- Perform quality control reviews of reports, design plans, and data analyses.
- Support environmental sampling, monitoring, and construction quality assurance activities.

A bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, geological, or geotechnical engineering is required, along with at least eight years of engineering or environmental consulting experience focused on waste diversion, landfill design, permitting, or sustainable materials management. A PE license is highly preferred, and the ability to obtain it within one year is desired. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform fieldwork as needed, and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
