Connections Engineer - Major Connections

You'll act as the Point of Contact across customers, Design and Major projects, playing a critical part in the UK's decarbonisation and Clean Power 2030 initiative.

• Provide oversight and ensure timely resolution of issues and escalated complaints
• Engage with customers who wish to connect to our Extra High Voltage network, developing innovative and flexible connection solutions to support the transition to a low carbon economy
• Accountable for delivering quotation services to customers in respect to EHV connections on time and within licence requirements
• Ensure that regulatory and charging policies are adhered to in respect to quotations
• Interpret technical appraisal documentation and create effective contracts governing the delivery of the physical work
• Test technical and commercial outputs against customers needs
• Produce quotation approval documentation to an executive level standard
• Establish, build and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
• Oversee effective project financial goverance and project closure routines
• Manage the EHV customer experience and relationship from first approach to final connection
• Manage commercial and legal documentation in relation to our connections contracts

• Effective team working
• Experience of the Electricity Industry (connections) regulated environment
• Legal and contract law experience
• Able to deliver high quality documentation in a commercial environment
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Sound decision making
• Project Management Qualifications
• First class written and spoken communication skills
• Project/Programme management experience
• Full UK driving licence
