Store Designers contribute to the success of valued partners by supporting the store development process across multiple brands, providing thoughtful design solutions and delivering projects on time while maintaining high‑quality fixture plans that adhere to organizational design, drafting, and CAD standards. This role reports to the Planning Resource Lead & Format Spec II.
Develop design solutions using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft programs in line with brand initiatives and project scope. Prepare and distribute fixture plans for partner review throughout development, review, and approval while adhering to drafting, design, and brand standards. Manage time to deliver accurate projects within timelines, support business partners with space and planning analysis, and track changes issuing revisions promptly. Update and maintain a library of projects, conduct field surveys to incorporate site conditions, and contribute to drawing, equipment, fixture, and standards libraries while participating in efficient work process and tool development.
Determine application of brand and design standards to create thoughtful plans that meet scope and parameters. Collaborate with internal teams such as Store Planning, Construction, Décor & Signage, Equipment Purchasing, and with client architectural and engineering consultants. Present completed plans to project and leadership teams.
Must hold a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Architectural Technology; 3‑5 years related experience is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of architecture, design, and construction documents, and advanced Microsoft Excel are required; familiarity with Adobe, BlueBeam, Sketch‑Up, and Smartsheet is ideal. CSSP certification and the ability to travel up to 25% are preferred but not required.
Demonstrated attention to detail, strong communication, active listening, critical thinking, and clarity in written and oral formats. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, lead presentations, and train new planners. Adaptable, problem‑solver, collaborative, with the ability to embrace change and achieve results.
