The role of Asset Data Acquisition Engineer, based in Pune with hybrid remote work, is to own the setup and management of data acquisition hardware and infrastructure from solar plants to cloud servers. This includes ensuring reliable communication between hardware components, maintaining data specification compliance, validating solar plant output control for hybrid systems, and liaising with OEMs to enhance troubleshooting capabilities. The engineer will also drive the development of local and global data acquisition systems and support the Asset Management team in resolving plant issues.
Candidates should have 6‑8+ years of experience in the PV industry or related fields such as industrial automation, commissioning, and data systems troubleshooting. Required qualifications include a BTech/BEng or equivalent in Energy Systems, Data Science, Networking, or a related discipline, combined with hands‑on experience configuring SCADA or data logger systems remotely, performing data assessment and validation, and managing third‑party providers. Field experience with AC/DC power, IT, and industrial automation hardware, as well as knowledge of evaluating automation solutions, is essential. Familiarity with advanced data analytics, SQL, and Python is a plus, along with a strong desire to work in an international environment.
