The PLC Technician will perform advanced facility Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work across manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs, as well as maintaining all plant electrical systems, electronics, motors, drives, and other power transmission equipment. This role also requires performing mechanical and electrical tasks to support plant operations.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Keep detailed logs of equipment inventory, changes, and throughput.
- Design and assemble control circuits, cabinets, and user interfaces.
- Perform diagnostics, repair, and installation of plant electrical/electronic systems.
- Maintain and service plant switchgear.
- Program, troubleshoot, and specify motor drives.
- Identify when job scope exceeds current skill set and escalate as needed.
- Analyze machinery for automation implementation and improvements.
- Repair and maintain PLC circuits and control systems.
