The Bid Writer role sits within the Colas Asset & Maintenance Solutions bid team, producing high-quality and professionally written content for prequalification and tender submissions. This role offers hybrid working, with two days per week based in ANY of the following offices: Chester, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Warrington, or London.

Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities and standards within Colas’ business sectors.
Deliver written responses for prequalification and tender submissions to consistently high and compliant standards.
Be involved in peer review responses, inputting to storyboarding sessions, attending bid solution meetings, and assisting with the preparation of presentations to the client.
Use bid writing resources to develop and complete written responses.
Provide effective bid writing services and technical solutions for allocated opportunities.
Contribute to win themes and bidding strategies through client research, document reviews, and liaison with regional teams.
Liaise effectively with colleagues in Procurement, Commercial, Technical, Support Services, and the wider business.
Support the Proposals Manager to maintain and improve bid management processes and to challenge existing practices.
