- Assist the Design Manager to coordinate, manage, and oversee all design related matters including:
- Managing sub-contracts (i.e. soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc.)
- Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects
- Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out:
- Managing main contracts
- Prepare technical reports and submission to Clients and Authorities (i.e. GIR, concept design, detailed design, risk assessment, ground improvement, etc.)
- Support on pursue project: assist in tender submission
- Review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation,
- Co-ordinate with Contract and Construction team and provide necessary information or correspondences on changes which deviate from the contract and may lead to time and cost implications.
- Ensure Instructions issued by Employers are co-ordinated with the Contractors
- Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e: beach clean up, sports day, etc
- Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties
- Resolve design discrepancies or technical conflicts which may arise from the Contractor while carrying out the construction works
- Supervise both design and/or site work
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice
- Study and review of submissions from the Contractors
- Review on C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e. deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc.)
- Chair all design coordination meetings.
- Ensure design coordination, document submission from Contractor is in accordance with the time schedule

- Experience in contract administration will be advantageous
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Possess the skill, knowledge and ability to manage and co-ordinate all the design activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Minimum 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering from recognised and reputable university
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc
- Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful
