• Safety First – ensure everyone returns home safe and well.
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to define scope, quantities, and construction requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, material pricing, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor quote analysis to produce accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align cost estimates with technical and scheduling constraints.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, bid proposals, and cost reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a cost tracking system to monitor expenditures, flag budget deviations, and identify savings opportunities.
• Participate in value engineering, risk assessments, and cost‑saving initiatives to optimise project costs while maintaining quality and safety.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to keep estimates competitive.

We are hiring estimators at all levels to support the growth of our life‑sciences, technology and manufacturing capital projects in Indianapolis. While many roles will be based locally, candidates nationwide who have the right to work in the US without sponsorship may be considered for a fly‑in‑fly‑out remote and on‑site model.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator, cost estimator or quantity surveyor on construction or project programmes.
• Proficiency with cost estimating software, construction cost databases and advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and labour costs.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary and external stakeholders.
• Experience delivering capital projects in life sciences or manufacturing.
